Nominating a New Member

The nomination of friends, family and colleagues for Membership of Royal Canberra Golf Club can play an important part in maintaining a sound membership base which is essential to the viability of our Club.

The procedure for nominating a new member of Royal Canberra Golf Club is as follows:

Proposer, seconder and three referees must be Members of Royal Canberra Golf Club in one of the following categories: Absentee, Clubhouse, Diplomatic, Distance, Life, Ordinary, Professional, Restricted, Social Golf, Veteran Associate, Veteran, Veteran Restricted and Youth.

  1. Proposer, Seconder and Referees to complete the nomination form and return it to the office.
  2. Nomination is posted on the official notice board for 28 days to notify members.
  3. Candidate invited to meet with members of the Membership Committee or the General Manager at a new member information session.
  4. Formalities are then completed with payment of the pro-rata subscription, together with either the first installment of the entrance fee, or the entrance fee in full.

Your nominee’s place on the Waiting List is determined by the date the above procedures are completed and payment is received.

Nomination to become a Clubhouse Member requires a proposer and seconder.
