WOMEN’S GOLF NOTES 13 AUGUST

Welcome to Elanora Country Club

On Monday we welcomed our friends from Elanora to play in our annual match against them for the Elanora Cup. The weather was lovely and we all enjoyed the friendly matches but for some of us the golf was ordinary. The Elanora ladies played extremely well and beat the Royal Canberra team by four points in a 4BBB Aggregate match. We all joined together for dinner last evening and the presentation of the Elanora Cup. Four of the Elanora ladies are playing with us today in our Irish Fourball and we welcome them.

Golf NSW Medal Results

All six of our Golf NSW Medals Rounds have been now completed and the best Nett aggregate of three scores for each Division has been calculated. Congratulations to each of the following Ladies who will now compete in the District playoff to be played at Belconnen on Monday 28th October: Division 1: Michelle Clarke, Division 2: Lindell Emerton, Division 3: Sue Serjeantson and Weekend: Pam Emery. We wish them all the very best of luck. The winners will compete in the State Final at Stonecutters Ridge in early December.

Barbara Garland Salver Thursday 5 September

We have only one name down at the present time and we need 12 women for the team. If you would like to play in this annual event against Yowani Country Club then please add your names to the list displayed in the Ladies Locker Room. We like to have ladies with a wide range of handicaps taking part, so please add your names to the list to be a part of this friendly game. It is being held at Yowani this year.

Return to Two Tee Starts

We recommenced two tee starts from today Tuesday 13th August and we hope that this will enable us to communicate more freely with everyone. Tee times are from 8:30 to 10:30 and incorporates the Nine Hole Ladies. The course of the day will be rotated to ensure we play on all combinations available. The starting times will be revised for Daylight Savings.

Medal of Medals 27th August

All Monthly Medal winners for 2019 have been invited to play in this event to determine the Medal of Medals winner for 2019. On this day we will also be playing for the chance to represent Royal Canberra for the Diabetes Trophy to be contested at the CSGA Opening Day next year.

CSGA Raffle

Over the next month prior to the CSGA Annual Tournament we have been asked to support the CSGA by buying raffle tickets which will be sold by Committee Members.
